ROK is the lionSTEEL knife with NFC technology. It is designed by Molletta Design, while all technical parts are developed by lionSTEEL. This knife features two important innovations.
First, it introduces the new H.WAYL System, a lionSTEEL patent that allows to hide the clip while using the knife: the clip can be pulled out only when needed.
The second innovation is the NFC technology, which we added to the knife box: this way, you do not need to look for more information about the product, but the knife itself will give them to you: care instructions, details about how it was built, or general information regarding lionSTEEL.
Like in the TRE, the ROK has the option to take the flipper away, in order to have a knife that can be opened with one or two hands.
This knife has a SOLID Titanium handle with the Rotoblock safety system. The locking bar is reinforced by a stainless tip so it can't be damaged by the blade.
The blade is made of M390 steel from Bohler, obtained with powdering technology, with a 59-60 HRC hardness.

ROK Technologies
SOLID KNIFE: lionSTEEL made its first Solid knife back in 2010 and it’s been the starting point for the Company revolution… When a new Solid knife comes to life it’s always exciting for us and with the ROK a higher quality outcome has been reached. The frame comes out milling a single solid piece of titanium or aluminum, so the handle is a single strong element of the knife.
H.WAYL CLIP: this system makes it easier when you put the knife back in your pocket and also when you want to pull it out from it.
At the same time the clip is hidden when you use the knife and you don’t annoyingly feel it on your palm when you hold the ROK in your hand.
NFC: this technology has been recently used for different payment methods and logistics, through the use of cards and smartphone… Here it also allows you to check ROK’s details, activate your warranty, contact the customer service and get all the info about lionSTEEL world.
ROTOBLOCK: this security system was born together with the first solid knife, it allows the locking of the blade while the knife is on use, so there’s no risk to accidentally close it while in action.
REMOVABLE FLIPPER: this feature permits to choose how to use your knife, if you don’t want the flipper you can unscrew it using the torx tool and put the second screw you find in the box that perfectly fits the hole in bottom of the blade.
